A family business in the truest sense, Southern Habitats was founded in 2006 by Joe and Kathy Reams, both sixth-generation native Floridians from the Big Bend area. Together they operate the business with a small staff of experienced and dedicated employees. Their primary business is providing customized turn-key native groundcover restoration services for a variety of clients who are most interested in the wildlife uses of their property. Clients include both private landowners and public land managers. Southern Habitats has gained respect and developed solid working relationships with wildlife related state agencies, non-profits, working groups, private firms and colleges throughout the Southeast. Joe handles all customer service personally and is happy to take calls and emails or make site visits to ensure the success of all Southern Habitats customers.
